World Mission Offering

Yesterday was a special Lord’s Day. The weather didn’t keep us from experiencing showers of blessings. We are still celebrating the $64,000 given to this year’s World Mission Offering. What a great Christmas gift to send the world! I loved seeing the Preschoolers from the 10:50 a.m. hour come and bring their mission offering dressed in costumes of the children of the world. Thank you for being the kind of congregation that loves the world enough to give sacrificially so that the lost may come to know Jesus.

2012 Ministry Action Budget

The budget is a ministry action plan. Each dollar is designed to help us connect people to the life changing love of Christ. While we are tightening our belt overall (5% reduction), we are looking forward hopefully to future opportunities for ministry. Here are a few budget highlights:

  • Our local, national and international missions expenditures account for about 13% of our ministry budget.
  •  We are reaching over 150 people each Sunday in four off-campus locations as well as supporting the work of 10,000 SBC missionaries worldwide.

Scripture tells us to grow in the grace of giving:  sharing generously our time, treasure and talents. (II Cor. 8:7) If each of our member families were to give an additional 1% of their income (avg. of $9 a week) the church would have $250,000 more funds for ministry in 2012.
