RENEWAL OF VOWS
I’m so proud of the scores of couples who renewed their vows this past Sunday at church. They were taking a stand not only for each other, but for the cause of Christ. Marriage today is under attack like never before. Some are trying to redefine it. Others are seeking to undermine it. Fewer people are getting married than ever before. So called experts are saying that marriage is an outdated, even destructive institution.
God’s plan is for Christians to marry Christians and build homes that honor Christ. Let me encourage you to pray for the married couples in our church. Some are in the midst of great conflict and stress. Pray that they would honor Christ in how they forgive, encourage and love each other.
SPORTS COURT DEDICATION
Last Sunday several of our families gathered after church to dedicate the new sports court to the Lord. The court can be used to play volleyball, basketball, soccer or paddleball. Bryan Love, our Minister to Students is planning on our students hosting a community 3-on-3 basketball tournament during Spring Break, March 12-16. Pray that the court will be used as a tool to reach many with the Gospel.
NEW TESTAMENT OVERVIEW
I’ll be continuing a six part overview of the New Testament on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. through the middle of March. This will complement our NT Challenge and give you a great picture of the authors, types of literature and key truths of the New Testament.
It’s an honor to serve as your pastor.
In Christ Alone,
Pastor Jim
