JOIN THE JOURNEY
I can’t tell you how excited I am with the response we’ve had so far to THE NEW TESTAMENT CHALLENGE. Our staff, deacons, Bible Fellowship leaders, students and guests are all involved. And it’s not too late for you to join us. You may have never used a Bible reading plan. Or you may have read through the Bible several times. You’ve never read through the N.T. like this before.
We’ll start the readings this Monday, January 23 . . .
1/23 #51 The Word Became Flesh, John 1:1-18
1/24 #52 Gabriel’s Message, Luke 1:1-80
1/25 #53 The Birth of Jesus, Luke 2:1-40
1/26 #54 John the Baptist, Luke 3:1-20
1/27 #55 Baptism & Temptation, Matthew 3:13-4:17
If you’ve not done so yet, pick up a bookmark and a Daily Planner this Sunday in the foyer. Both will help you stay on track throughout the next 10 weeks. I’ll be preaching a message this Sunday, January 22 on the Baptism and Temptation of Jesus to kick off NTC.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR - 4.01.12
This will be a great day of Celebration in the life of Oak View. We’ll celebrate our 62nd anniversary as a church; we’ll celebrate the completion of the New Testament Challenge. We’ll celebrate PALM SUNDAY and make plans for Easter. Don’t miss this special day.
OVERVIEW OF THE NEW TESTAMENT
I’ll be leading a six part overview of the New Testament on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. starting January 25. This will complement our N.T. Challenge and give you a great picture of the authors, types of literature and key truths of the New Testament.
It’s an honor to serve as your pastor.
In Christ Alone,
Pastor Jim
