How to Grow in 2012

January 6, 2012

How will you Worship, Connect, Serve and Go in the month of January? What evidence will your walk and talk reveal about your relationship with Jesus Christ? What aspects of that relationship are you very excited about seeing God do a great work in you?

Throughout the month of January, your participation as part of the body of Christ is very important. We are called to have “fellowship with one another” because from one another we receive encouragement, prayer, accountability, joy and peace. Will you resolve to raise the bar and be more involved in the life of your church than you were in 2011?

Specifically look at the spiritual growth opportunities for you:

  • Get out of your spiritual doldrums by investing your time in the Worship Services and in a Bible Fellowship Group on Sunday morning.
  • Be inspired and challenged by Dennis Pethers, author of More to Life, on Sunday, January 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
  • Come fellowship with others at the HomeGroup Chili Cook-Off on Sunday,  January 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the BEC. You will enjoy great chili and learn more about the value of being in a HomeGroup.
  • Sign up to have your picture in the new Oak View Pictorial Directory. It will help you put a name with a face and give you the opportunity to build new friendships.

These are a few of the opportunities to enrich your spiritual growth and to help you Worship, Connect, Serve and Go. Your investment in Oak View is to “connect people to the life-changing love of Christ.”
