Round Up Sunday, And Beyond

August 2, 2010

Round Up Sunday is the kick-off day for our Bible Fellowship groups beginning a new year. Our preschoolers, elementary kids and middle school/high school students, will begin the new year with new teachers, a new room and maybe even in a different building on the Oak View campus.

Our leadership team for 2010-2011 is excited about teaching God’s Word with a desire to see every person know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and every person grow in their personal walk with Christ. Every age-group will be active in learning the Word of God and living out the Word of God. Every member and prospect will be hearing from their teacher or a class member before August 29.

Round Up Sunday is a good day for adults seeking a Bible Fellowship group to connect with their peers and begin extending their circle of friends. The class setting will be comfortable and casual with lots of discussion over the Bible passage for that day. And there will be plenty of coffee and donuts for everyone.

Throughout the year there will be age appropriate events. Along with servant evangelism projects, mission projects such as Serving Irving and many more experiences for the purpose of growth and outreach. It will be a year where every person, every week can invite everyone to come and experience Oak View Baptist Church.

Here is how you can help to make Round Up Sunday the beginning of a year which honors God through the Bible Fellowship Ministry of Oak View:

•   Make your attendance in Worship and in Bible Fellowship a high priority.

•   Pray and invite friends looking for a great church experience.

•   Help call class members, encouraging them to be here.

•   Communicate with prospects about getting connected at Oak View.

Many folks around us are just waiting for a personal invitation to Oak View. So let’s be actively inviting folks to be with us on August 29.  Through our diligent efforts may God receive the glory and honor. Let’s see Round Up Sunday exceed our expectations.
