Last year over 2,500 hot turkey dinners were served in Jesus’ name at thirteen apartments or mobile home parks on Thanksgiving Day. A tremendous amount of preparation is required to present this gift to the community. Many of those who help have been a part of Serving Irving since it began thirteen years ago. Here are ways you can get involved before and during the event:

 
 
***Promotion Team: Invitations need to be distributed to families before November 13. Ten teams of two are needed.

 
Packaging Team: Supplies for 2000+ meals need to be packaged and sorted. Meets Tuesday, November 15, 9:00 a.m. in the B.E.C.

Pie Making Team: Need a total of 275 fruit pies brought to the church Tuesday, November 22 ( midweek service will be moved to Tuesday.)  

Set-Up Team: Will take tables and chairs to several locations on November 24 and pick them up. 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.; 1:30 - 2:00 p.m.  We need a few trucks and men to do light lifting. 

Slicing/Dicing Team: Help prepare food at 10:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23.

***Serving Team  9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., November 24. Serving the food on location in South Irving.  Last year 75 servers were required.  There will be a meeting Wednesday, November 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the BEC for those willing to serve on this team.

Prayer: Please be in prayer for Serving Irving this year as we reach out to new areas of the community.  Pray that lives will be touched!
