Worship is a vital part of the life of Oak View...why?
Throughout the Bible, we as the people of God are given commands to worship God. For example, Psalm 29:2 says, “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.” In addition to these imperative commands, we find glorious descriptions of worship services (for example, the dedication of the temple in 1 Kings 8) and whole chapters dedicated to instructing people how to worship. The climactic book of the Bible, Revelation, shows us a picture of the eternal worship of our King that will take place forever and ever. From the first book to the last, the worship of God is a recurring theme.
In short, worship is important to God. He desires to be worshiped; He deserves to be worshiped. If worship is this important to God, then it is imperative that it be important to us.
