"F.A.Q" Part 2: Questions About the Future

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”   Jeremiah 29:11

I.  Is Jesus the __________ way to heaven?

  • Aren’t all religions fundamentally the same?

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  John 14:6

Do vs. Done

  • What about those who have never _________?

19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:19-20; 2:13-16

Quick Questions:

  • Do my dreams predict the future?
  • How do I know God’s will for my future?
  • How do you explain ghost “encounters?”
  • Can a person who commits suicide go to heaven?

II. What happens after I ___________?

  • “Explain death in Christ.  Are you with Christ at that moment or do we wait until Christ comes again?”

51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. I Corinthians 15:51-52

  • Will there be a ___________ for Christians?

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. II Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:10-12

III.  How will the world __________?

  • Will the world end in 2012?    What is the rapture?  What is the tribulation and the millennial Kingdom?

16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. I Thessalonians 4:16

Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.   Revelation 20:6

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.”   I Corinthians 2:9  NLT
