Where and how did you accept Christ?

I came to Christ during a revival at Woodridge Baptist Church.  

What do you want to communicate to the folks who are visiting the web site?

I hope that anyone who comes to the web site would sense that Oak View exists to connect people to Christ and His life-changing love. I’d like the web site to be a tool for helping everyone take their next step in their relationship with Christ and with other Christ followers. 

What is your dream for your ministry?

I dream that our church will become an unstoppable force for the cause of Christ in our community and around the world. I dream of a church of influence, one that impacts each generation to live a life radically committed to Christ and to reaching those without Him.         

What is your educational background (School & Degree)?

B.S (Chemistry) Midwestern State University; M. Div. and D. Min. Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary 

What is your wife's name?

Tashia (I married above myself.)

Do you have children or grandchildren?

Matthew (11) and Annalise (10)

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Irving. My family moved here from Cincinnati, Ohio, when I was seven (but I consider myself a naturalized Texan). I graduated from MacArthur High School, but don’t hold that against me.

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy travel, book collecting, tennis, and whatever new things my kids are doing (RC cars, cup stacking, baseball, golf, guinea pigs, hamsters).

Where and how did you accept Christ?

I accepted Christ at the age of 9 when our church was meeting in Fairview Elementary School in Dayton, Ohio

What do you want to communicate to the folks who are visiting the web site?

If you are looking for a place to grow in your personal relationship with Christ and build strong Christian friendships, Oak View is the place for you. 

What is your dream for your ministry?

To see 60% plus of our members actively serving through the ministries of Oak View and reaching out into our community. 

What is your educational background (School & Degree)?

Received my Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and my Masters of Religious Education degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

What is your wife's name?

Pam 

Do you have children or grandchildren?

Three children, two sons-in-law and one granddaughter. 

Where did you grow up?

Dayton, Ohio, and Lexington, Kentucky 

What are your hobbies?

Gardening and washing Pastor Jim’s car

Where and how did you accept Christ?

I accepted Christ at age 11 during a revival week at my home church in Oklahoma. My dad, who was minister, counseled me and ultimately led me to the Lord.

What do you want to communicate to the folks who are visiting the web site?

Oak View is a church that is a living family of believers who want to connect others to Christ's love. If you're looking for a place to call home, this is it.

What is your dream for your ministry?

To see the members of Oak View become daily worshipers of God in everything they do and to see us develop dynamic ways to communicat Christ's love to our church, our community, and our guests.

What is your educational background (School & Degree)?

Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance (minor in multimedia design) at Cameron University in Lawton, OK. Masters of Music in Church Music (concentrations in conducting and vocal performance) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Currently working on a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Southwestern.

What is your wife's name?

Do you have children or grandchildren?

I have a 1-year-old daughter, Claire.

Where did you grow up?

The great metropolis of Lawton, OK.

What are your hobbies?

Anything computer related, Texas Rangers Baseball, Cowboys football, and OU Sooner football.

Where and how did you accept Christ?

I grew up being involved in church. On July 17, 1985, in New Diana, TX, I began a conversation with my dad that culminated in my praying with him to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. One week later, on July 24, I was baptized at Coffeeville Baptist Church in Ore City, TX.

What do you want to communicate to the folks who are visiting the web site?

The Student Ministry of Oak View, whether in the Youth or GPS Ministries, is a place to connect with God and peers. The Student Ministry at Oak View is incredibly exciting and a safe place to find meaning to one's life as well as hope and acceptance.

What is your dream for your ministry?

My dream for the Student Ministry at Oak View is for as as many youth and GPS to be reached as possible in order to grow the Kingdom of God. Once a youth or a GPS becomes a Christian, I want them to grow in their relationship with Jesus and become a full-time follower of His.

Baylor University, BA in Psychology and Religion, 1999; George W. Truett Theological Seminary, MDiv in Theology, Concentration in Christian Religious Education, 2002

Carrie

Do you have children or grandchildren?

Cammie, Cullen, Corrin and Camrie

Where did you grow up?

New Diana and Keller, TX

What are your hobbies?

Besides being a follower of Christ, the most important roles I play are as a husband to Carrie and dad to my four little ones. I try to golf when I can and enjoy reading about church history, the early church fathers and theology.

I accepted Christ at Thomasville Baptist Church in Thomasville, AL, during a revival service.

What do you want to communicate to the folks who are visiting the web site?

That we love families and want to partner with parents to help disciple their kids for Christ.

What is your dream for your ministry?

That preschool and children’s ministry would be a family ministry.

What is your educational background (School & Degree)?

Graduated from University of Mobile and currently working on my Master's at SWBTS.

I don’t have a wife! Eric is my husband.

Grace Anne-9 and Emma-7

Where did you grow up?

Mainly in Thomasville, AL.

What are your hobbies?

Singing, reading, and watching Auburn football- WAR EAGLE!
